Pamukkale Tour From Antalya Itinerary
At approximately 5:30 am, you will be picked up from your hotel in Antalya. This 250-kilometre journey will take about 3-hours from Antalya. Along the way, you will see many natural wonders and enjoy the surroundings of the countryside.
Upon arrival to Pamukkale, known as the famous “cotton castle,” you will be welcomed by your professional guide and informed with a brief overview of the travertines’ ancient history and how they were formed. We will also have open buffet lunch at a local restaurant.
During your visit to this area, you’ll have the opportunity to explore several fascinating sites, including the ancient theater, Roman baths, city walls, and necropolis. In antiquity, this city was renowned as a spiritual and healing center, thanks to its thermal springs that offered therapeutic benefits.
Following your exploration of these historical sites, you’ll make your way to the renowned Cotton Castle. This striking natural wonder is a limestone mountain with naturally formed terraces housing thermal springs. You can take advantage of the healing properties of these hot springs by enjoying a swim or capturing some breathtaking photos.
It’s worth noting that both the Cotton Castle and the Hierapolis ancient city are designated UNESCO World Heritage sites. In close proximity to the Cotton Castle, you’ll find another famous attraction, Cleopatra’s Pool, where participants on this excursion have the option to swim for an additional fee.
At the end of the tour, you will meet with your tour guide for your journey back to Antalya. Optionally, there will be a dinner at a local restaurant with an extra cost. This is a perfect moment to wind up and relax before driving back to Antalya.
You will be back at your hotel at around 7:00 – 8:00 pm.
