Cappadocia and Pamukkale Tour From Istanbul Itinerary
You will be picked up from your Istanbul hotel at around 4:00 am and transported to the domestic airport for your flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir (depending on availability), scheduled between 6:00 and 7:30 am.
Upon reaching Kayseri or Nevsehir airport, you'll be picked up and taken to North Cappadocia tour location. You will also be able to join some of the optional activities.
The tour kicks off with a trip to Devrent Valley, where you'll witness the unique fairy chimneys. Following that, you'll proceed to Pasabag Valley (Monks Valley) to observe the mushroom-shaped formations. Your next stop will be the city of Avanos after which you'll have lunch.
At the end of the lunch, you'll explore the Goreme Open Air Museum in Cappadocia, which showcases a range of carved caves and ancient churches, offering insights into the region's monastic past. Just before returning to your hotel, you'll have the opportunity to visit the natural castles of Uchisar.
After the tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Cappadocia for check-in.
Optionally, you can attend a Turkish Night Show, starting at 20:00.
Early in the morning, you will be able to do the optional Hot Air Balloon ride at an additional cost.
After having your breakfast at around 9:30 am, you will be picked up from the hotel to do South Cappadocia Tour.
Our tour will begin by visiting the Red Valley, granting you the opportunity to explore renowned rock-carved churches and engage in an approximately 5 km hike through the Rose Valley (Gulludere Vadisi). Following this, you'll proceed to Cavusin Village, renowned for its residences and churches belonging to Christian Clergymen. After that, we will have a lunch and continue our journey to the Pigeon Valley (Guvercinlik Vadisi).
In the afternoon, we will explore the Kaymakli Underground City or Ozkonak Underground City, which were once inhabited by early Christians.
Our South Cappadocia tour will conclude around 17:00 and you will be taken to the Kayseri Airport for your flight to Denizli. Once there, you will be welcomed by our staff and transferred to your hotel for check-in.
After your breakfast at the hotel around 9:30, you will be picked up and transferred for your Hierapolis and Pamukkale Tour with a professional licensed guide.
At around 10:00, you will head to your first stop, Karahayit, to witness the captivating Red Spring Waters. Following your time in Karahayit, our journey will continue to Pamukkale, where you'll begin your exploration of the ancient city of Hierapolis around 10:30. The key attractions of Hierapolis include the Necropolis, Roman Baths, Domitian Gate, Latrina, Oil Factory, Frontinious Street, Agora, Byzantium Gate, Triton Fountain, Cathedral, Apollon Temple, Plutonium, Theater, and Antique Pool. This will also be an opportunity to capture some stunning photos from the most picturesque spots in Pamukkale.
At approximately 12:30, you'll have about an hour of free time to immerse yourself in the natural splendor of Pamukkale. Optionally, you can choose to swim in the Pamukkale antique pools (at your own expense) during this period.
Around 1:30 pm, you'll meet with your guide for a unique barefoot walk through the Pamukkale travertines from top to bottom. Following this, at 2:30 pm, a delicious lunch awaits you at a local restaurant.
Afterwards at 3:30 pm, you'll have the chance to explore an Onyx Factory for about 30 minutes. Upon finishing our tour at 4:00 pm, you'll be transported to Denizli or Izmir airport for your late evening return flight (depending on availability) to Istanbul. The flight from Izmir takes about 1-hour.
