Ertugrul Tour Overview

Our Ertugrul Tour begins by picking you up from the hotel in Istanbul around 06:15. After that, we will drive to Sogut where the Great Ottoman Empire first originated in the 13th century. Upon arrival, you will have some time to take photos as well as dress up in costumes that resemble some characters from those times. Our Ottoman history expert will guide and share insights as we explore the area.

This is a private tour and centered around the life of Ertugrul, the father of Osman I, who was the founder of the Ottoman Empire.

With all the highlights being visited, this is a must-go trip for any Ertugrul fan!

Ertugrul Tour Itinerary

• Approximately at 6:15 – 6:30 am, you will be picked up for your full-day Ertugrul tour
• Along the way, you will have open-buffet breakfast at local restaurant and have time for shopping
• Upon arrival, we will first visit the Tomb of Ertugrul Ghazi (father of Osman) in Sogut
• Visit the tomb of Bala Hatun (wife of Osman Gazi) and Turgut Alp
• You will have some free time around the tombs
  • You can wear Alp and Hatun costumes as well as take photographs including horse-riding.
• Well-Mosque (Kuyulu Mescid) of Ertugrul Ghazi in Sogut.
• The Tomb of Sheikh Edebali, (spiritual founder of the Ottoman Empire), mentor of Ertugrul Ghazi and Osman Gazi.
• Orhan Gazi Mosque (the first Ottoman Mosque) in Sogut, Bilecik.
• Visit to the Ottoman Timeline Museum in Bilecik.
• Lunch in a local restaurant.
• Drive to Bursa, the first capital of the Ottomans (Driving time appr. 1 hour to 1h30).
• Visit the UNESCO protected Tomb of Osman and Orhan Ghazi, the key figures in Ottoman history in Bursa.
• The Grand Mosque of Bursa and Silk Bazaar.
• Free time at Bursa city center.
• Drive back to Istanbul and we will arrive back to the hotel.
• End of Ertugrul Tour.

Pick-up/Drop-off Details

• Our selection of vehicles are recent models of Mercedes Vito. In case you are a large group, then it’ll be a Mercedes Sprinter.
• Basic needs like water, extra masks and hand-sanitizers will be provided in the vehicle.
• We also pick up guests who are located in Old Town/Sultanahmet and Taksim areas.
• The drop-off may be late depending on the traffic.
